We currently offer 3 styles of threaded brakes.
The first is the same as our original Clamp On Muzzle Brakes with threads instead of clamping slots/screws..
The second is our new 3-Gun compliant model. These brakes are made to fit within 3-Gun style competition rules and are designed to be the most effective within those requirements.
And last but definitely not least is the HexMod brake that is basically a larger version of the 3-gun and will be Ideal for use on 7mm and larger calibers and is also available (after much demand) in 3/4-24 thread pitch for Bull Barrel installation, and in the near future, not so common thread pitches.
All of our threaded brakes either include the appropriate crush washer or are available with our Crush Washer Elimination System (CWES)
The CWES system uses a bushing with differing inside and outside threads that allows you to index the brakes correctly by changing the relative position of threads in relation to the barrel shoulder, in essence, instead of indexing the brake and using a jam-nut, you are indexing the threads to the shoulder and the brake IS the jam-nut. This allows full thread interface, as opposed to a typical jam-nut system that reduces thread interface by up to 50%.
HexMod MAX
For those of you who reach out to a Mile and beyond, We give you the "HexMod MAX"!!! Designed for those Big Boomers like the 300NM, 338Lapua, 375Cheytac, 408Cheytac, and 416Barrett Using the proven principles that make our other Brakes known for Performance that Matters. Recoil Reduction, Staying on Target, NO Back-blast to the shooter, and Affordability.
Available in Several thread pitches, Direct Thread, or Self Timing with our CWES system.
Finished in Hot Black-Oxide for basic corrosion resistance, yet easily prepped for your favorite coating if you want your favorite gun artist to coat it.
Pre-Bored for .308" up to .416". Through hole Can be over-bored for Larger Calibers by your gunsmith. Minimum .020" over caliber, but up to 1.6x caliber with NO LOSS in performance.
Attention: This Brake is designed for Barrels LARGER than 1.125" at the muzzle and offers No Improvement over the Standard Hexmod/cwes, in recoil reduction, on cartridges smaller than .375CheyTac. (the powder capacity and resulting gases are the limiting factor, not the brake design)
Kahntrol Solutions 3-Gun Muzzle Brake
These brakes are made to fit within 3-Gun style competition rules and are designed to be the most effective within those requirements. Made from 4140 steel.
The 3-Gun brake is also extremely effective on bolt guns and precision rifles, like the new Ruger Precision Rifle or RPR. In fact, It is so efficient, that on calibers under .308win there is virtually no performance difference between the 3-Gun and the larger HexMod brake, and even on a 300winmag it will reduce recoil to .243 levels (vs. 223 levels with the HexMod).
Due to the rear diameter of this brake, it looks best on barrels measuring smaller than .830".
1/2-28 accommodates calibers up to .243/6mm
5/8-24 accommodates calibers up to .338
Available in Black Oxided 4140 or Matte 416 Stainless (only available in 1/2-28 and 5/8-24, can be polished by gunsmith to match barrel)

Back by Popular Demand!!! These brakes are the same as our original clamp-on style brakes but for threaded barrels. They are EXTREMELY lightweight with unparalleled recoil reduction.
They are available in 5/8-24 and uses crushwasher, 18-1 metric for Tikka and Sako rifles, as well as The Ingenious Crush Washer Elimination System (CWES)
CWES styles requires minimum barrel diameters listed below"
.800" for 5/8-24
.700" for 1/2-28
These will accommodate calibers "up to 338".
Kahntrol Solutions HexMod Muzzle Brake
A Larger version of the popular 3-gun brake, but scaled for maximum recoil reduction on larger than .223/5.56 chamberings.
These brakes are available threaded 5/8"-24, 11/16"-24, 3/4-24, 3/4"-28, 3/4"-32, and 18-1.5 MM.
These are now available in 11/16"-24 thread pattern for the .450 Calibers, and 3/4"-28 for up to .50 Caliber.
The 5/8"-24 size will fit ANY rifle threaded 5/8"-24 and has enough shoulder the seat the crushwasher (approx. .675").
The 3/4"-32 size fit some Barrett rifles, Armalite AR-30s, 450bushmasters, 50beowolfs and are well suited for custom install on heavy barrel rifles without having to remove massive amounts of material to thread at 5/8"-24.
These come in black oxide finish and require crushwasher, shims, peelwasher, or gunsmith fitting to index properly (unless you're real lucky and it indexes as is)

Kahntrol Solutions HexMod CWES Muzzle Brake GEN 2 (self-timing)
The HexMod C.W.E.S. Gen 2 (self-timing)
Since being introduced in 2014, The self timing version of our Overwhelmingly Popular, and extremely effective HexMod Brake, the HexMod C.W.E.S. GEN 2(crush washer elimination system) is still one of our most popular brakes.
This version of the HexMod allows a clean looking, secure, and easy to index installation, without having to source crushwashers or clamp your rifle in a vice to torque the washer, and doesn't look like it was cobbled together by a plumber.
The Gen 2 system uses a bushing with 32pitch OD threads, and ID threads to match the rifle that allow you to index the brakes correctly by changing the relative position of threads in relation to the barrel shoulder, in essence, instead of indexing the brake and using a jam-nut, you are indexing the threads to the shoulder and the brake IS the jam-nut. This allows full thread interface and ensures that the brake is squared to the barrel, as opposed to a typical jam-nut system that reduces thread interface by up to 50% and can tweak the muzzle tenon if over-tightened.
Available in both 1/2-28 and 5/8-24.
Requires a minimum barrel diameter of .800" for 5/8-24
Requires a minimum barrel diameter of .700" for 1/2-28
